Save The Dots Initiative
What is the Save The Dots Initiative?
Save The Dots (or SD Initiative) is a campaign to bring back the dying art forms of stipplism and pointillism, two styles that are almost exclusively reliant on tattoo trends and artists.
Over recent years, SD Initiative's founder, Leigh has noticed that the art form has been growing less and less popular in today’s media and life, despite more and more people becoming interested in the creative arts. When they had noticed this, they began to search the web, looking for artists of fellow minds, but was shocked to discover that the majority of the audience and artists are around the ages of thirty and older, with relatively small audiences compared to other styles.
Driven by passion
Our initiative aims to bring back these dying artforms and give them new lives, not just in their original forms, but also expanding into new ways of creating, such as digitally, using pixels or generic dots on a digital canvas.
For such a personality fueled and lively art style, why should we let it die out? why should we let it fade into the background? It is therapeutic to create and mind boggling to look at, it boosts attention spans, observational abilities, focus and confidence. Anyone can learn if they really want to.
So why don’t we help share our passion with the world?
Art is not without soul, passion and love.
